Accepting food staple donations to help APD help families this Thanksgiving

Nob Hill Friends, please consider donating some food staples to help APD help families.

You can bring donations to our Nob Hill historic preservation outreach this Wednesday at 6:30 pm, or to our board meeting 11/11, or email theboard@nobhill-nm.com and we’ll pick up at your house or business.

APD’s Laura Kuehn tells the story below.

With the Holiday Season quickly approaching, we ask for your partnership.

The Southeast Area Command Officers will assist twelve families with food for the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Each squad will provide a complete meal for their family.  Last year we had a donation of turkeys and hams from one of our large retail partners and expect the same generosity this year.

If your Neighborhood Association would like to donate staples, such as stuffing, canned vegetables, cranberries, instant mashed potatoes, etc.

Also, during this Thanksgiving Holiday Season, the Southeast Problem Response will assist those experiencing homelessness by serving hot bowls of soup.  If your Association would like to provide cans of  soup, we are happy to accept those donations as well.

Thank you for your consideration and assistance.
